Downfall of Feeding Dark Personalities

Downfall of Feeding The Darkness

Let temptation not induce us

to feed darkness,

even morsels (nay, à la carte);

even small fragments

will become the downfall

of our entire minds

while gouging out our hearts.

Downfall of Feeding Dark Personalities

They might seem alluring in the beginning, but Sinister Personalities (Narcissists and Sociopaths) devour our entirety when presented with mere crumbs- whether it is our kindness, concern, sympathy, or attention.

Sharpening our recognition of faint inner tuggings from our intuition will govern us toward safety, while resisting urgings doling out even itty-bitty pieces of ourselves which could result in our destruction.

Any exchange with Dark Personalities is ample fuel enough to sink their fangs into our flesh, and lock-down.

.

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour. — 1 Peter 5:8

  1. Agreed, Tamara! Moreover, once you get your mind right, and concentrate on the future, the glorious warming sunshine beyond the Narcissist’s reach, you make yourself unpalatable to him.

    Sure, back when you were in his sway, his bile coursed through your veins, a venom the Narcissist injected to dissolve you. As such, each bite he stole tasted familiar to him.

    Once you introduced hope for a better future, though, you changed the formula. “What’s this?” he demanded, “What’s this sunshine? Yuck! I don’t do Happy and I absolutely can’t stand Hope! Disgusting!” He disengages and scurries off to blacken his fangs again.

    When he returns, you’re no longer there. You’ve freed yourself from the web, and the Narcissist just loses sight of you as you burst into the sunshine.
