Reputations and Flying Monkeys –

People should not judge anyone based on what one (or, even more) say about the said individual; they should go to the source (the targeted individual), and get his/her version of the facts surrounding the accusations, instead of jumping to the accuser’s side, and ruining reputations. Even better, people should mind their own business.

Flying Monkeys is a term used to describe a person, or group of people who never ask questions, nor look at both sides, but set out to destroy the victim’s reputation based on what an abuser has said about the target.

The human condition, as it is, enjoys the excitement and drama of taking sides to judge, hate, and smear others. But take heart; The Lord knows the truth, and one day, all will know the truth.

.

1 Chronicles 28:9 MSG

….” Every man’s way is right in his own eyes, But the LORD weighs and examines the hearts [of people and their motives]”

      1. If you clip a birds wings, they have to stay where they are: they can’t fly. It’s usually seen as a bad thing.

It would be a good thing to clip the wings of a “Flying Monkey” so that they couldn’t spread their lies as easily.

  1. Definitely true, Tamara, that we tend to indulge in slanders , heedless of whether they’re valid. Or even plausible.

Regardless of whether the untruths demean individuals or groups, herd rule quickly outpaces critical thinking,

Pretty funny, actually, to hear those who allow themselves to be swept up in the lies, scramble to explain away their gullibility. Really? If you believe even 1% of this garbage, all hope is lost for us, and I’m in the market for another species. Fortunately, we both know the truth, don’t we?
