Narcissist’s Sudden Escape –
Spooked by a sudden, unknown vibration, its long legs crawled away back into its web, hidden in a dark, moldy corner.
The Narcissist appeared to display no concern for its dignity or self-respect, but for that of its own self-preservation, clear by its embarrassing getaway.
This eight-legged creature was affected by exposure from anyone who might witness this fanged, predatory monster beneath its human-like mask.
Such a revelation could risk its clever facade of humanism, and therefore limit its availability of prey in which it took great pride in ensnaring, binding, and torturing, one after the other, inside its thick, glutinous web.
When it made such a sudden escape back into the lightless corner of its woven home, not only was it fleeing from any possible, intolerable exposure (from those who had seen the repulsive sight from the slipping of its mask), but it was then, that it was taking a rather special delight, in gorging on its more agreeable subjects—those of whom gave consent to such bondage, and total control: its mindless flies and wingless gnats (or, as some might call, Flying Monkeys and Enablers).
…But their evil intentions will be exposed when the light shines on them…
