Divorcing Tears, Poetry –
From this marriage
with tears,
I seek a divorce;
I keep
the dog;
you take
all regrets
and remorse.
.
I only need
a pillow
and one
soft-feathered
quilt;
l relinquish
all the tiresome
guilt.
.
Please
grant me
two pairs
of shoes
to wear;
then, I will return
the debilitating
despair.
.
I can be easy going;
a non-nagging
ex-wife,
as long as tears
stay
forever
out of my life!
Good Bye, Dear “Tears”; I have fallen in-love with Smiles!
Revelation 7:17
for the Lamb in the center of the throne will be their shepherd, and will guide them to springs of the water of life; and God will wipe every tear from their eyes.”

You could have gone to Ikea, buy new feather comforter, and a pillow, too. They’ve everything you need. Leave all the old stuff behind.

Perhaps, but IKEA is not a feasible word to use in my rhyme… it does not have the proper rhythm.

I used to not know what IKEA was. I thought it was a car. But, I looked it up, and found that it is more things than just a car.

Yes. Shortage of words.

Sometimes I just make them short, and to the point. I could make them longer, but I get distracted and go off and do other things.

I see. Lol.
I also see you have been applying make up for your new boyfriend. 🙂

My niece is newly into ‘makeup artistry’ and using my face as her “model”… I show her I’m proud of her by posting her handiwork. 😊

It makes you look like you’ve got it going.. Like you wake up in am, go to Starbucks get your latte with an extra espresso shot and then start your day ordering your secretary around and underlings.
This is how I imagined my life would be in America. But it isn’t in this age of noninclusivity because I don’t wear make up.

I do not drink coffee; I do not have underlings… (whatever those are)… but, I do drink tea! However, I make it myself.
I do not think makeup can change someone’s life so abruptly. Despite a bit of difference in “look”, I am still same person. 😜
I do not belong to any cliques, nor do I wish to. My niece will most assuredly pass this phase of making up my face every chance she gets. Lol…. She is enjoying herself.
