Surviving a major catastrophe, such as the Northern California,
Camp Fire, that burned over 100,000 acres of forestry, including over six thousand residential homes, and many businesses- just two days ago- is a reason to make every moment of my life matter.
Trying to drive faster than the flames could catch me with my Australian Shepherd, frantic cats, and one hay-munching rabbit was a frenzied experience. Through the Grace of God, making it out alive was humbling.
Thousands of Firefighters and First Responders were out in this wicked inferno risking their lives to save mine, and everybody else’s. This is a cause to give deep respect to these brave heroes!
Police Officers were in the fiery oven protecting me and others, in their noble sacrificial duties to keep us safe from harm, and our properties protected from looters. This is a motivator to continue every breath in passion, if only to thank these valiant leaders and Emergency Crew!
Praising and thanking God every day of my existence for keeping me and my family alive and in His Loving Care during this major catastrophe is a colossal incentive to thrive with joy!
2 Corinthians 4:16
Therefore we don’t faint, but though our outward man is decaying, yet our inward man is renewed day by day.
