Liking Our Own Posts is OKAY!

Dear WordPress Friends,

It’s okay for us to Like our own posts, and even Comment on them. It’s not being rude, or anything; it’s simply saying, “Oh YAY, it finally came together! Cool.”

I, sometimes, Like my own posts, and very infrequently, I will give myself a comment, too. I might say, “Great post! I love it!”. I mean, I find it encouraging and self-soothing, to say the least.

I love it when I Comment on my own posts, and then a few minutes later, I can see that I have a brand new comment from someone– Me! It’s so exciting!

Same deal with the Likes; after I Like one of my posts, I will then put my IPAD down, and pretend I am going to go do something else, but instead, I will quietly sneak back up on my device, and then I will see the Like button flashing, and I will get all happy and jazzed up about it! I’m like, “Oh, ya! I just got a new Like, and it’s from Me! So cool.”

It really makes my day!

YAY!

You all can Like and Comment on each of your own posts, too.

It’s totally okay!

  1. This is hilarious!! I think, apart from you I would be the only one liking my posts! I put stuff out there and assume it’s like the poetry I wrote when I was 14 and kept in the bottom drawer!! I love this – and I mean it! I always like my own Instagram posts and generally find that a more satisfying platform… that’s my excuse! Hope your week is going along well! 2. This made me laugh aloud. Thanks!
I actually don’t get alerts for likes on my post as likes can only be done through the wordpress reader (I think. I wouldn’t even know how to make it on my site).
Though I try not to be online too much as then I need feedback.
    )))hugs(((

    1. Thank you, Eliza. It makes me happy to put a smile upon your face. 😊

I tend to get hyper focused on things and need to somehow be “torn away” from what I’m doing, or else it’s all I will do.

“Structure” has never been my strong point… lol.
