Poetry of Nature –

Cheery, fluttering 

rainbows

intend to engage

and fawn

among dainty,

white-skirted miracles,

which awaken

at each morning’s

dawn.

Edges glisten 

as yellow and black-velvet

dance upon graceful,

white-laced innocence;

light shimmers

through teal 

and purple silk,

displaying luxurious 

vividness.

.

Arrays of dazzling

crimson, green and scarlet,

hover among delicate, mild-mannered 

virgins of purity;

splendor flounces about in masses 

of pink and turquoise;

a breathtaking dance

of nature’s rites 

and surety.

Butterflies are part of the class of Insects in the Moth order Lepidoptera. Adult butterflies have large, often brightly coloured wings, and conspicuous, fluttering flight. The group comprises the true butterflies (superfamily Papilionoidea), the skippers (superfamily Hesperioidea) and the moth-butterflies (superfamily Hedyloidea).
